A GREAT DAY AND EVENING WITH ONE OF THE BEST
What a way to finish off the weekend with LUKE HODGE playing two T20’s for the Blackmans Bay Cricket Club and another “Sporty”.
In the 1st game he scored 49no but slightly tore his hamstring . The 2nd game was played in the right spirits and Luke was able to bat with a runner and he scored another 31 runs and looked very dangerous. It was a wonderful day with plenty attending the games and Luke full filled all requests for photographs and autographs throughout the day.
Saturday night saw a great function at Simple Cider in Hobart with over 130+ in attendance. , |

"AKER: WINDS THE CLOCK BACK AND DOESN'T DISSAPOINT
Another great day/night for JWP with the great JASON AKERMANIS playing a “One-off” game and “Sporty” for the Ridgley Football Club (Darwin Football Association).
“AKER” had 20 odd possessions, kicked 3 goals and the young improving Saints found a way to win against a team that’s going to go deep in September.
The evening went off brilliantly with nearly 200 people present and some great dollars raised for the club.
Jason’s story needs to be heard, some great highs throughout but certainly was dealt some tough cards growing up and trying to become an AFL Footballer.

"WALLY" and "OX" sending important messages
JWP is pleased to be the driving force for the Glenorchy Football Club (Football Department) to be holding (2) Educational Sessions for their Senior Program in coming weeks.
JWP would like to thank MICHAEL STYLES (GNTFCPP&OA) and PETER BARWICK and CRAIG WALKER (Water Industry Solutions) for coming onboard and sponsoring these two vitally important information nights.
First one with former Bomber, Tiger and Swans Player MARK EUSTICE is on Wednesday 27th of July at 7pm.
Mark will be sharing his own personal battles with substance addiction and mental health.
The 2nd session will be with former Demons Champion DAVID SCHWARZ on Wednesday 10th of August at 7pm.
David will pepper the audience with anecdotes of great highs and crumbling lows and there always entertaining.
Considering the potential impacts of such issues on young men and women, the GDFC will also be inviting other clubs in its zone to participate in the sessions.
